Supporting Patients at the Amberley Suite, Worthing Hospital

The Sussex Cancer Fund has recently donated a supply of Faith in Nature hair conditioner to the Amberley Suite at Worthing Hospital to support patients using the cold cap machines during chemotherapy.

Cold cap machines are designed to help reduce hair loss caused by certain chemotherapy treatments. The cap gently cools the scalp, reducing blood flow to hair follicles and helping to minimise the effect of chemotherapy on them. To work effectively, and comfortably, patients need a small amount of paraben- and sulphate-free conditioner applied before the cap is fitted, which helps it make good contact with the scalp.

The team at the Amberley Suite often rely on donations or even bring in supplies themselves, so we were very pleased to help by providing this latest batch of gentle, suitable conditioner. We hope it makes a small difference to those undergoing treatment and to the wonderful nurses supporting them every day.
