From 1 November to 24 December 2026, join Sussex Cancer Fund for a virtual Christmas challenge to help bring Santa from the North Pole to Sussex!
Together, we’re aiming to complete 2,000 miles by Christmas Eve, while raising money to help make life better for people affected by cancer across Sussex.
Whether you enjoy a gentle stroll, a lunchtime walk or a regular run, your miles will help Santa along his way. Choose a personal goal that suits you and take part wherever you are, at your own pace.

Your pace, our shared adventure
You don’t need to cover 2,000 miles yourself! This is a collective challenge, with everyone’s logged distance contributing to our festive journey.
Make your daily dog walk part of something special, invite colleagues out for a lunchtime stroll or get friends together for a weekend walk. Whether you’re just getting started or already active, every contribution counts.
How to take part
- Join the challenge: Sign up through Race At Your Pace to become part of our Sussex Cancer Fund group.
- Set your personal goal: Choose a distance that feels right for you.
- Get moving and log your miles: Record your distance manually or sync with Fitbit, Apple Health, Garmin or Strava.
- Follow our progress: Watch our combined miles grow and enjoy a little friendly encouragement through the group leaderboard.
- Raise funds along the way: Set up a fundraising page and invite friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your challenge.

The money you raise will help Sussex Cancer Fund support people affected by cancer across Sussex.
Working alongside the NHS, we fund equipment, improve hospital spaces, support patient services and fund local cancer research. From making treatment environments more comfortable to helping people access additional support, your fundraising can make a meaningful difference.
