The Brighton Marathon weekend is always one of inspiration and determination for all the runners taking part, never more so than this year for the amazing Alex Geldart.
We were lucky enough to have Alex on our 2022 team. Alex is a Superintendent and as well as her role at Sussex Police has had a really tough year but her story is an inspiration to those who may have just had a similar diagnosis.
Almost to the day of her diagnosis anniversary, Alex completed the Brighton Marathon with an extremely respectable time of 4 hours 54 minutes raising an amazing £1400 to help us with our work.
The last year has seen, her diagnosis, a double mastectomy, reconstructions, tamoxifen, a return to her policing role, and culminating with her marathon entry.
Big congratulations and thank you to Alex, and thank you to all those that sponsored Amazing Alex!
