If you love events with proper community spirit (and a finish-line buzz that lasts all weekend), the Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend is for you. Run one race or take on the full challenge across the May Bank Holiday weekend:

  • Saturday 2 May 2026East Grinstead 10 Mile
  • Sunday 3 May 2026Haywards Heath 10 Mile
  • Monday 4 May 2026Burgess Hill 10K

Together, the three races add up to 26.2 miles across three days.

How to enter and fundraise for Sussex Cancer Fund

We’re encouraging runners to sign up directly with the event organisers, and then choose Sussex Cancer Fund for fundraising.

Step 1: Enter the race

  1. Go to the official event website: Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend
  2. Choose your distance:
    • Full marathon over 3 days, or
    • A single town race, or
    • Mile / Fun Run / Virtual options (if available)
  3. Complete your entry and keep your confirmation email.

Step 2: Set up your JustGiving page

  1. Go to JustGiving and select “Start fundraising”
  2. Search for Sussex Cancer Fund and select us as your chosen charity
  3. Add your event details: Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend 2026
  4. Set your fundraising target (and don’t worry — you can update this later)
  5. Share your page with friends, family and colleagues (WhatsApp works brilliantly!)

Step 3: Tell us you’re in!

Once you’re registered and your JustGiving page is live, let us know you’re taking part so we can cheer you on and support your fundraising.

Helpful race-day notes (from the organisers)

A few practical bits to help you plan:

  • Race HQ / registration opens at 08:00 across the weekend
  • Fun Runs start 09:30, Mile races 10:00, main races 10:30
  • These are multi-terrain courses — trail shoes are recommended if you have them
  • The organisers encourage greener running (bring a reusable cup/camel pack if you can).
