“Cancer Is What We Have, Not Who We Are”: The Sussex Cancer Fund Community Conference – Sat 19th October

Join us for the Sussex Fund Cancer Community Conference, a gathering hosted by the Sussex Cancer Fund in collaboration with various organisations within the local cancer community. This conference is a testament to our shared belief that while cancer may be a part of our lives, it does not define us.

Throughout this empowering event, attendees will have the opportunity to come together and embrace life in its fullest expression. From insightful workshops to engaging discussions, we aim to inspire and uplift each other, emphasising that our identities extend far beyond our diagnoses.

The conference will provide a platform for attendees to connect with charities and services that cater to their unique needs. From practical support to emotional guidance, participants will discover a wealth of resources to navigate their journey with grace and resilience.

Led by healthcare professionals, survivors, and experts in various fields, the conference will offer valuable insights into managing the practical and emotional aspects of living with cancer. Attendees will learn strategies for coping with challenges, maintaining wellbeing, and finding moments of joy amidst adversity.

As part of the event, attendees can explore a marketplace showcasing products and services designed to enhance their quality of life. From innovative technologies to artisanal goods, there will be something for everyone to discover and enjoy.

In addition to educational sessions, the conference will feature opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. Attendees can participate in wellness activities, mindfulness exercises, and creative therapies, embracing holistic approaches to healing and self-care.

Furthermore, the conference will foster a sense of community and camaraderie among attendees. Through shared experiences and mutual support, participants will find strength in unity, reinforcing the idea that we are not alone in our journey.

This conference is open to anyone affected by cancer – those with a diagnosis, their carers, family and friends, children and supporters. All are welcome!

Tickets: £5.00 each. The first 50 to register will receive a goody bag.
