Here at the Sussex Cancer Fund we welcome all manner of fundraising activities, from bake sales and fun runs to swimming in rivers and other bizarre challenges.
This week Alex Read from Sussex is doing his daily commute to work and back, for one set of shifts (6 days) on a unicycle!
Over the course of his challenge he will cover a total of 158 km (99 miles), which as anyone who has tried riding a unicycle for even a short distance will know, is an amazing feat.
We will be tweeting for each day of his challenge on our Twitter page where you can keep track of his progress.
Alex says he decided to do the challenge after his Dad’s recent treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Read more about his story on his Just Giving page, where you can also donate.
We all wish Alex the best of luck for his challenge this week, and would like to thank him for helping make a huge difference to the lives of people with cancer with the funds raised.
If you feel inspired by Alex’s challenge, you can find out how to support us on our Fundraising page.
