Sussex Cancer Fund held another volunteer event at the Horizon Centre on Monday 24th September
Following the success of last year’s volunteer event, Sussex Cancer Fund are held another event for their valued volunteers. The event was a thank you to all their supporters but also open to anyone that wanted like to hear more about what the charity does and how they can get involved.
The Sussex Cancer Fund has been helping cancer patients throughout the county since 1981, providing services, buying essential equipment and funding research projects.
During the Volunteer event guests had the opportunity to hear from Emma Knight giving her personal account from a patient’s point of view, Jean Tremlett, Deputy Chairperson and Therapy Radiographer, Dr Sally Appleyard, Research Fellow and Shirley Price one of the charity’s volunteer Business Ambassadors.
