Jack Chaplin (11), has just organised his own fundraiser at his home in Seaford. Jack wanted to do something in memory of his Grandmother, Jackie Bishop and raise money for the Sussex Cancer Fund at the same time.
With some money he was left from Jackie, Jack bought a ride on train and then organised his own family fun day so friends and relatives could come and have a ride. As well as his railway, there was a bouncy castle, refreshments, and tombola. The day raised an amazing £300 for Sussex Cancer Fund.
Emma Chaplin, Jack’s Mum, said “He is an amazing young man who has previously raised money for charity and this open day for family and friends was all his own idea. We just supported him with some of the baking!! His sister, cousins and other family members helped to sell tickets and provide the refreshments.“
We think he is amazing too, well done and thank you, Jack. To organise an event like this at such a young age is fantastic! Enjoy your fabulous railway, what a marvelous way to remember your lovely Grandmother!
