We would like to say a huge thank you to one of our Business Ambassadors Phil Harris who completed the wackiest challenge so far, for our #SussexSaunter campaign.
On Saturday 1st August, despite the heat, Phil scooted 11miles from Worthing to Brighton in an inflatable T-Rex costume. The Scooting Dinosaur caused quite a stir with onlookers and we even made the ‘Keep Brighton Weird’ Facebook page!
T-Rex Phil started at 8.00am from Wothing Pier, travelled along the seafront through Lancing, on to Shoreham by Sea, then through Southwick, Portslade, and Hove before finally reaching Brighton Pier.
To date Phil’s challenge has raised over £1300 of his £1500 target including a very generous donation from his employers FRP Advisory, a leading national business advisory firm.
The Sussex Cancer Fund would like to say a huge thank you to Phil and his lovely supportive family who saw him off on the morning and followed his progress on the app Strava. We would also like to thank all those that have shown their support by donating and of course FRP Advisory.
