Meet Max: An 8-Year-Old Fundraiser Taking on Snowdon for Sussex Cancer Fund

This July, 8-year-old Max is embarking on an inspiring adventure: hiking to the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to raise funds for the Sussex Cancer Fund. Accompanied by his mum and dad, Max is turning his family holiday into a meaningful mission to support people undergoing cancer treatment in Sussex.
A Big Challenge for a Big Cause
Max’s journey to Snowdon is no small feat. Earlier this year, he completed a 9-mile trek across the Seven Sisters in East Sussex and loved every moment. Now, he’s ready to take on Snowdon’s 1,085-metre peak—a challenge that will test his determination and endurance.
His motivation? To support the Sussex Cancer Fund, a charity that works closely with the NHS to enhance cancer care across the region. The Fund provides specialist equipment, improves treatment environments, and supports research projects that aim to transform future care. Every donation helps ensure that patients across Sussex receive the best possible support during their treatment.
How Your Support Helps
The money Max raises could go towards:
- Funding cancer research that leads to more effective treatments and improved patient outcomes.
- Purchasing specialist medical equipment that enhances the quality of care provided to patients.
- Refurbishing treatment facilities to create more comfortable and welcoming environments for patients and their families.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by cancer in Sussex.
