Harry Carter and his friend James are going to be climbing Helvellyn in the Lake District to help raise funds for the Sussex Cancer Fund as way of thanks for the treatment his mum has received. Helvellyn is the third-highest point both in England and in the Lake District at 3,118 feet.
A Message from Harry
Over the last two years, my mum has been receiving treatment for breast cancer. She has received excellent care and support from the amazing breast care team at The Park Breast Care Centre in Brighton and the chemotherapy team at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. We would like to share our appreciation by raising funds for the SUSSEX CANCER FUND which works hand in hand with the NHS to give every cancer patient in Sussex the best available treatment and facilities.
If you would like to support us in making a difference, my friend James and I will be attempting the ascent of Helvellyn one of the iconic mountains in the Lake District on 23 August. Any donation will help and thanks in advance for your support towards a cause that means so much to us.
