The Sussex Cancer Fund is delighted to have been selected as one of Vervate’s charities of the year to receive valuable support. Vervate is a Brighton-based storytelling photography and visual content specialist.
Vervate’s ethos has always been to help the community as much as they can and have long been helping charities tell their stories through photography.
Following the pandemic, however, they wanted to help a charity by providing free specialist support for a specific project. Charities were invited to submit details of challenges they were facing with their promotional material. Small charities like the Sussex Cancer Fund, want to ensure that more of the money they raise goes directly to their work which means they often have limited resources and staff need to be a ‘Jack of all trades’. While this means they can be flexible it also means that they may not have the necessary skills to create professional graphics themselves and often struggle to get their material seen.
The Sussex Cancer Fund applied for help and is extremely grateful to have been chosen, together with Fareshare and their long-standing chosen charity Refugee Support.
Vervate has always been great supporters of the Sussex Cancer Fund and has already kindly created an explainer video for us and covered some of our events but now we can look forward to some more formal support. After detailed discussions identifying our challenges, Vervate will be providing some training for SCF staff, help with organisation and campaign creation as well as providing that all-important creative input.
In addition to this support, Susi Doherty, Creative Director has also joined our team of Business Ambassadors. Our Business Ambassadors help us to raise our profile and share information about the work we do particularly in the Business Community.
We would like to thank the whole team at Vervate for their time and look forward to working with them and learning some new skills.
